2019 Girls Augusta-Aiken Middle School League Division A Runner-Up
At Our Lady of Peace School, we believe athletics are an important part of the school and the formation of our students. Participation on a sports team helps teach our students cooperation, sacrifice and sportsmanship while providing opportunities for leadership skills. We teach our athletes to be charitable in victory, when our athletes are not victorious, we want them to learn that one of the true benefits of participating is in the effort and the experience, and that losing gracefully builds the kind of character that will serve them for the rest of their lives.
We are excited that the size of OLP allows each and every student, from the novice to the superstar, to participate meaningfully in athletics. We believe athletics plays an important role in helping our students become leaders who will transform society. At OLP we strive to give coaches the tools to motivate their student-athletes by challenging students to give their best for Christ and for their team.
OLP offers the opportunity for every student to discover his or her gifts through a multitude of activities, including a place on the athletics field. Students at OLP are encouraged to try all sports they are interested in, the main requirement is an interest in the sport and willingness to learn, work hard, and have fun.
