Mission
The mission of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) School is to provide a comprehensive educational program for the complete development of its students in a Christian environment. We help students grow towards maturity and prepare them for life-long learning. Consequently, there are four areas that we stress in developing the "whole child": spiritual, educational, physical, and social. The school welcomes families of all faiths and cultures as we embrace our tradition of excellence and service. Our goal is to prepare our students to face the intellectual and ethical endeavors that they will confront as active members in today's society by accepting, nurturing, and challenging them.
History
Our Lady of Peace School, under the direction of the Diocese of Charleston, was founded in 1956. In 1999, the school was accredited by the Diocese and was the standard by which all diocesan schools were measured under the Verifying the Vision Accreditation Program. In 2007, the school became a member of the South Carolina Independent School Association. The school is a fully accredited, multi-cultural, Christian-based school serving Grades K4-8, with before- and after-care available. All religions and races are welcome. OLP is located in North Augusta, South Carolina.
